Subproject 6 - Emerging Technologies
Aim of the subproject
This subproject aims to investigate existing and potential emission reduction technologies for integration into diesel applications and power-packs leading to recommendations concerning these technologies. Best practices from other transport sectors are investigated. The main objective of the work is to identify the state-of-the-art on low emission technologies suitable for railway application and to benchmark low emission technologies applied to other transport sectors. The partners assess the impact and the feasibility of using innovative low emission technologies on engine and rail vehicle performance.
